ON YOUR KNEES

A choral hymn establishes "On Your Knees" from Minneapolis-based KPT, and from that sparse origin the tune grows into a cryptic, grandiose, and hypnotic layered production across the 7-minute plus epic.
The second single reveal in a forthcoming diptych of releases exploring the psychosexual and power dynamics, KPT is joined by Dallas-based deathpop artist lcn1, who in addition to assisting with production makes good on the theme by dishing sultry whispered and provocative vocals throughout.
Steadily coagulating into an aggressive and absorbing decree, "On Your Knees" crescendos with cutting synths, percussion, and scathing guitar work from JQ Lexvold (of Organ Discordance) into a crunching and clacking industrial machine.
Attend the dark mass of KPT's "On Your Knees" featuring lcn1 now and prepare for Never, Forever; Nothing, Completely.

"An eerie static load grates your ears, swelling like a tsunami far out to sea, building in destructive force. A noticeable click click holds its own until there is an explosive release, frenzied and consuming. A tension between the electronic elements threatening to rip at the seams and yet still holding together, joined by the rumbling vocals, just perceivable above the tumultuous mixture of textures." -Onyx Music Reviews
"Like the long wait fans endured between releases, 'Collared' slowly builds from a caustic distortion that’s being belted out across the speakers before propulsive beats swell like a chest rising and falling with each inhale/exhale. Add an atmosphere that’s ominous and all-consuming with scattered vocal lines exquisitely inserted into the dense framework and you have a new KPT track that is well worth the wait." -Rock And Roll Fables
"A vindictive mesh of hard techno and dark electro/industrial." -ReGen Magazine
"Collared" employs KPT's signature vocal sampling techniques, distorted synthesizers, and agitating drums into a crescendo so intense, it almost seems vindictive. In his first solo effort in two years, Minneapolis-based KPT continues the industrialized punishment expertly demonstrated on 2021 singles "White Crosses" and the eponymous "Obliterate."
Despite having no official releases over the past two years, they have been chock full of achievements for the artist. Including eight remixes for luminaries such as En Esch (KMFDM, PIG, Pigface), Mona Mur, Textbeak and more, an EP and even more remixes from his duo DEATHDANCE, and the day-to-day undertaking of operating visionary label GIVE/TAKE.
According to the artist, "Collared" represents the first single in a forthcoming diptych of releases exploring the psychosexual and power dynamics entitled Never, Forever; Nothing, Completely.
